National Semiconductor Building E Theater 

National Semiconductor is the industry’s premier analog company, creating $2+ billion annually in high performance devices and subsystems.  NS provides the world with the highest of high-tech power management circuits, display drivers, audio and operational amplifiers, communication interface products and data conversion.  So to whom does the high-tech leader turn when it needs a high-end internal system for its own newest facility?  To Snader & Associates, of course.

Though National Semiconductor provides much of the world with advanced communication interfaces, its own Santa Clara, CA presentation facilities were woefully inadequate for the company’s growing needs.  With only an internal theater that served as more of a small meeting space, the industry leader was in need of a major new facility.  National Semiconductor recently chose a 10,000 SF building (Building E) on its campus to convert into a state-of-the-art theater and presentation space.  With Snader & Associates’ design and integration help, the new Building E theater has been transformed into a place suitable for hosting high impact customer events and shareholder meetings, as well as presenting quarterly earnings reports and regularly scheduled corporate announcements.

The centerpiece of the new 500-seat theater is a 180-inch diagonal rear projection screen by Large Screen Displays.  The audio system features over 50 JBL professional speakers broken into 5 ‘zones’ and includes a JBL SRX line array system – all built around a symmetric SymNet digital processing unit with a Crestron control system and Extron switching and video processing.  Ten wireless microphone systems allow flexibility and speaker range of motion.

The new Building E Theater also incorporates a broadcast system through which the signal is encoded and streamed to National Semiconductor locations across the globe.  Broadcast cameras plug into a series of custom I/O plates, providing a full broadcast feed to studio, and then over NSC fiber-optic networks, to deliver content worldwide.
