When celebrities like Tom and Katie want to “cruise” the information superhighway, they – like many of the rest of us – turn to Sunnyvale-based Internet super giant Yahoo! And when Yahoo! needs a central location from which to monitor its worldwide servers and growing host of services, they turn to Snader & Associates!
While the fascinating Yahoo! Network Operations Center (YNOC) has played host to many high profile visitors (including TomKat), its truly vital daily function is that of ‘brain’ to Yahoo!’s global ‘body.’ The Snader-designed and integrated systems at the center include 6 Clarity 24x7 DLP cubes inset flush to the wall and a wall processor by Jupiter Systems with KVM & IP control of wall layout and functions. Christie and Panasonic projectors provide crystal clear vision for Yahoo!’s ‘eyes,’ while Crestron, Extron and JVL audio provide state-of-the-art ‘ears.’
And the surfing doesn’t stop there! Snader & Associates also provided equipment for Media Studios North (Burbank, CA) – Yahoo!’s search and marketing function corporate offices. The team designed and integrated systems for 20 conference rooms (including the executive video conference room); A/V for café & dining areas; digital signage for the company store and lobby; and 8 training spaces designed as individual rooms with retractable doors, convertible to a larger presentation space. All A/V is distributed via IP.
And there is more. Much, much more. As the world’s premier provider of online search functions, Yahoo! is a giant in its industry. As a leader in the online operations field, Yahoo! has chosen Snader & Associates time and again for its audio-visual and presentation systems support needs. In fact, the Internet giant has chosen Snader to provide all of it’s A/V services for over 3 years. Snader, in turn, provides a full-time, in-house, Yahoo! campus-based engineer to coordinate all necessary service.
In all, Snader has designed, integrated and continues to service over 20 facilities for Yahoo! ranging from single-story to 8-story buildings; campus-wide networks to single-room studios; 75+ employee conference and meeting rooms; and state-of-the-art multi-camera broadcast and production studios with master control, post production editing suites, flypacks and high-end equipment.
Wow! Or should we say … yahoo!
